The Primo X4 pro is arguably the high end flagship smartphone in Walton’s lineup as well as the most costly one. The main highlight is a large 5000mAh battery that gets you between 1.5 and 2 days of battery life depending on your usage. Inside the box are a number of goodies like an otg cable, a smart faux leather flip cover, the paperwork, a screen protector and a pretty good pair of headphones with extra ear tips.

Walton Primo X4 Pro Smartphone Hands on Review

Design and Hardware : Design wise, the X4 Pro appearance gorgeous. It features the tried and tested full metal uni body design and executes that style excellently. each edge and corner of the X4 pro appearance and feels premium. The smartphone is durable and lightweight at the same time. additional importantly, the weight is evenly distributed throughout the body and so the phone feels nice in the hand. On the right side we've both the volume and power buttons that, by the way, are clicky and positioned just right. The earphone jack is on the top together with an IR blaster permitting the user to manage TVs, air conditioners and far more. On the bottom, we've the micro USB port and one speaker. There are 2 speaker grilles, however one speaker as expected. The speaker sounds good and produces loud enough audio however it’s simple to cover up because of it’s placement. call quality is great on this phone and i didn't have problems with poor network or connectivity. an added convenience of this phone is that it comes with a dual SIM card slot and a separate memory card slot. these days we see phones with hybrid slots that allow you use one SIM and a memory card or 2 SIMs only so i believe this setup offers more flexibility. The fingerprint scanner is on the home button and isn't an always on sensor. To use it, you've to activate the screen 1st. Regardless, this scanner is super quick and correct and i never had any issues with it. Also check my previous hands on about Primo HM3 Review.

Display : I'm a big fan of Super AMOLED displays so I have a soft spot for the Walton X4 Pro. The screen is 5.5 inches, Full HD and uses 2.5D curved glass that goes very well with this style. gorilla Glass four is present here so you'll be able to be a little tension free concerning the screen. because this is Super AMOLED, the screen appearance vibrant. colors pop out of the display and look superb. The contrast is great and also the blacks are deep and appearance great combined with bright colors. Viewing angles are nice too and so is the brightness. a bonus of AMOLED displays is that you can use them to save on battery life. Use dark themes and black wallpapers and you'll probably see an extra hour or 2 of use.

Performance : The Walton Primo X4 Pro comes equipped with a 4GB of RAM, 64bit 2.0GHz octa core cpu, 64GB of in-built storage that is microSD expandable up to highest 128GB and a big 5000mAh battery. As I aforementioned before, this battery consistently lasts 1.5 days and even two days depending on your usage. combine this with power saving and you may extend battery life even longer. a good addition to this phone is quick charging. With the included charger, you'll be able to get from 0.33 to 400th in thirty minutes and 100 percent in about two hours. Moving away from the battery, the internal specifications are nice for modern games. I didn't have any issue enjoying my usual combination of Asphalt Xtreme, Modern Combat Five, Bloons TD5 and GTA San Andreas. It scored 53259 on Antutu Benchmark and 59.5 on Nenamark application.

Camera : The back camera is a BSI 16MP unit with f2.0 aperture and a sapphire crystal lens cover. Sapphire is extremely hard however also more brittle so even though there's larger resistance against scratches, a drop might crack the cover. pictures from the camera look nice in daylight situations however you knew that already. Once the sun gets lower, photos turn out OK and are usually better than most budget and middle range phones. The shutter gets slower though so hold your camera still whereas those footage get taken. The front camera is a 13MP f2.2 BSI unit and does a good job with selfies. If you post to Instagram, Snapchat or Facebook then this camera is nice. Actually all my recent snaps were taken on the Walton X4 Pro. This phone, like all recent Walton phones, comes with a really comprehensive camera suite. There is Manual Camera, HDR and a nifty GIF Mode.

Software : You will find marshmallow android v6.0 with Carefree launcher on top. We’ve seen this before and it is a really customizable and completely different take on android. Swipe up from the bottom and you get the control panel. Here you'll be able to access the split screen mode. This doesn't work with every application however works with the ones you will most likely want. This works smoothly and the screen sizes can be adjusted for your convenience. again within the control panel is a screen record button. this is a handy inbuilt way to record your screen so that you'll share your game play on-line along with your friends.Smart screen gestures are present here as well so you can double tap to activate this screen to your heart’s content. The child mode is a helpful addition if you hand your phone to children for enjoying games. you can select what apps are accessible on kid mode and even set a timer for how long it can be used. The privacy space permits you to keep the sensitive content on your device far from prying eyes. The inbuilt Mobile anti theft mode is a very helpful addition too.

Conclusion : This can be Walton’s best smartphone right now. If you'll be able to handle the 28,990 taka price tag then this device is a smart option. I would suggest the Primo X4 Pro for the good camera, wonderful battery life and that stunning Super AMOLED display. The build of course is great too and so are the internals.
