Exclusive Hands on Review of Walton Primo HM3 and HM3+

The HM series of Walton smartphones are well-known for large capacity battery life. The new members of this family Primo HM3+ and HM3 have large 5000 mAh batteries both. The build quality and external outlook of these 2 devices are same. However there are some slight variations inside. Let’s take a glance at the device short specifications.

Unboxing : These are the accessories found with the phones - USB Data Cable, Charger Adapter, Earphone and Warranty Card.

Build Quality : The build quality of Walton Primo HM3+ and Primo HM3 are the same. The device are light though there are vast batteries. Both device weights 156 grams with battery. The mobile is a bit curved at the top and lower part. First generation gorilla glass is used to guard the screen. Front camera, speakers and light sensor are at the front panel. Touch buttons are at the bottom. The non fixed removable rear part of the phone is matte finished and there are textile textures. There are 2 micro SIM card slots and a micro sd card slot. Volume buttons, earphone jack, USB port and power button is with the rear part cutout. HM3+ and Walton Primo HM3 are available in space gray and golden colours.

Display : Five inch HD IPS display makes the device look more vibrant. It is 16 million colours supported and 320 pixels per inch. The sharpness of the screen is top class. Display resolution is 720x1280 pixels and the color saturation is superb. The display make these 2 handsets great for watching movies and photos. Users can control display modes with great Miravision technology.

User Interface : Stock android is used in both HM3+ and Walton Primo HM3. But there's a slight customization. Recent apps panel is same as the stock android but there's a Clear All button hooked up to clear all the opened apps. All the opposite things are just like stock android marshmallow. Loading time of the apps were fast and there were no lags. This device runs on android v6.0 marshmallow.

Performance : The main difference between Primo HM3+ and HM3 is the RAM and ROM (Internal Storage) capability. Primo HM3 has 1GB RAM and 8GB of ROM. Primo HM3+ has 2GB of RAM and 16GB ROM space. HM3 users can get 1.6 GB RAM and 4.5 GB internal memory available for usage. HM3+ users can get above 11 GB internal memory to use. the 2 devices have same MT6580 MediaTek chipset and 1.3 gigahertz quad core processor. There's Mali-400MP2 GPU for users who like to play games. Gaming performance of the devices are satisfying. though these 2 devices have differences however the overall performance have no impact.

Benchmark : The smartphones were tested is some common benchmarking tools. Results were almost the same for 2 devices. HM3 scored 22522 on Antutu and 55.0 on Nenamark where HM3+ scored 22935 on Antutu and 54.9 on Nenamark.

Camera : Primo HM3+ and Walton HM3 have the same camera sensors. Rear camera is BSI Eight megapixels and front camera is BSI Five megapixels. There's a LED flash beside the rear camera. The camera interface is same as other walton handsets. There are several modes like Time Lapse, Panorama, Face Detection etc. The performance of the camera in Daylight is awesome however in the dark the cameras are little hazy. The quality of front camera is average.

Sensors : The device has some helpful sensors like Proximity, Accelerometer, Gravity, Light, Magnetometer, Orientation, Rotation Vector, Linear Accelerometer and Gyroscope are used.

Battery : The battery backup of Walton HM3+ and HM3 devices are just amazing. Both of them have a large 5000 mAh powered battery. It can easily backup 2 to 2.5 days with serious usage. Moreover, there are intelligent saver mode to extend more battery life.

OTA : Both mobile has OTA feature for future software update.

Price : The value of the HM3+ is bdt 8,490 taka and HM3 is bdt 7,190 taka. These 2 huge battery powered devices are already available in any shop or showroom.
